Terms of use

The service

vovoscan is a reader for manga, webtoons and books. It can translate a chapter, letter it again in your language and turn it into a voiced episode. Features can change, and some are only offered to some accounts while we test them.

Your account

• You must have reached the minimum age of your country (13 to 16 in the EU).
• Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if someone else uses your account.
• One account per person. You are responsible for what is done with it.
• Titles for adults stay hidden until an adult turns them on in Settings.

Sources and plugins

The sources and plugins you add are read by your own device: their pages never go through our servers, and we do not review them. You are responsible for the sources you add and for having the right to read what they offer, under the law of your country and the terms of those sites. vovoscan does not host, sell or distribute their content.

What you publish

You keep the rights to what you publish on vovoscan: series and chapters as a creator, margin notes, group messages, pictures. You give YIELD SARL a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, copy, display, translate, letter, voice and distribute it inside vovoscan, as needed to run the features you and your readers use, for as long as it stays on vovoscan. Translations and episodes made from a chapter are shared with every reader who can see it.

Only publish what you have the right to publish.

What is not allowed

• Publishing works you do not hold the rights to, or helping others reach pirated copies.
• Illegal content, sexual content involving minors, hatred, harassment or threats.
• Malware, scraping, overloading or attacking the service, or getting around its limits and safeguards.
• Selling or sharing access to your account, or using vovoscan to spam.

Reports and removal

You can report a title or a post from the app. A rights holder can send a notice to the contact below, with the work, where it appears and proof of rights. We may remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, and we tell the account holder when the law allows it.

AI features

Translations, readings, voices and sounds are made by AI models. They can contain mistakes: check what matters before you rely on it. With your own provider keys, the requests are billed to you by that provider under its own terms.

Credits and payments

Credits pay for the AI features run on the platform’s keys. Today they are granted for free by vovoscan: they have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or refunded, and we may change how many are granted or limit their use. If paid features come, their price and conditions will be shown before any purchase, and these terms updated first.

Availability and liability

We work to keep vovoscan available and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, YIELD SARL is not liable for indirect losses, for third-party sources and sites, or for the output of AI models. Nothing here limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Account (see the account deletion page). We may close an account that breaks these terms, after notice when possible.

Changes

We will tell you in the app or by email before an important change to these terms. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account before it applies.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of Togo, and disputes go to the courts of Lomé, without depriving you of the mandatory protection of the law of the country where you live. Write to us first: most problems are settled that way.
